S is for Satamile

Although most of the electronic sounds that get spun here at RSHQ get released on labels that are based abroad [UK, France, Germany and Holland primarily], there are a few standouts here in the states which have been putting out superior tunes for over a decade. One of these is NY+SF's premiere electro imprint, Satamile Records, run by Andrew Price, which has made itself a force to be reckoned within the electronic community. Satamile boasts an international roster that includes Silicon Scally [UK], Decal [Ireland], Bytecon [Belgium], Boris Divider [Spain], Exzakt [US], Blotnik Brothers [Sweden], Lowfish [Canada], Roadking [Germany], and the relatively newly signed Umwelt [France]. With this globalized outlook and a willingness to sign artists who brazenly cross musical genre boundaries, it's no surprise that Mr. Price's strategy has worked in an industry where people's fickle tastes sometimes change on a weekly basis. While it is first and foremost an electro label, Satamile releases will surely appeal to any enlightened Breaks, Techno, Acid, or other type of electronic music enthusiast.
RobotSound™ is proud to present the next minimix composed entirely from tracks found on Satamile. If you enjoy what you hear and like your machine music to be dark and sexy, I urge you to point your mouse over to the Satamile store and pick up some of the best electro the US has to offer. Your audio hardware components will thank you.
