Unclaimed Remains
Submitted by zombiebot on November 14, 2008 - 2:02am.Before I put this decrepit monster out of its misery, I've scavenged through its innards and collected some of the spooky tracks I spun at Zombi along with a few I dared not play. No tears from the creature of the night...

13 for the 13th
Submitted by dr™ on June 12, 2008 - 5:13pm.I felt mysteriously compelled to compile some dark tracks on the site tonight (as I am wont to do on particular dates/holidays) since once again it's Friday the 13th. No death/black metal or anything inherently malevolent by nature. Just things off the HD that fit with the theme (somewhat).
So, in honor of the day and in the spirit of keeping music evil, here are 13 ways of turning to the dark side...
Chromatics - The Killing Spree
Ceremony - Nothing Inside
David Gilmour Girls - Crimson As Murder
Ladytron - I'm Not Scared
Darker My Love - Post Mortem, Post Boredom

I'd say enjoy, but that's not particularly scary. How about what Elvira, Mistress of the Dark used to say...Unpleasant Dreams!
The Pleasure Principle
Submitted by dr™ on February 25, 2008 - 1:59am.It has been a while since I've offered a proper mix on RobotSound. Notwithstanding the fact that I've been listening to some decidedly retro-minded, un-robotic sounds as of late, it's time to return to our primary directive: Enabling robots like us to maintain their superiority edge on the sonic curve.
Our next audio hybridization installment comes to us from Spain, from the proprietor of Planeta Modular and it's a dark one indeed. Visions of dystopian futuristic soundscapes for the offworld colonies of tomorrow. Be seduced by the power of the darkside...

Submitted by dr™ on April 22, 2006 - 10:19pm.This extemporaneous RobotMix™ consists of randomly picked Drexciya / Heinrich Mueller tracks/remixes. As a result of the haphazard selection process, it jumps across the entire Drexciyan soundwavescape. Think of it as the sound of a restless robot's techno-logical soul in hyperspace.

The Mysterious Heinrich Mueller
Submitted by dr™ on November 28, 2005 - 10:29pm.
You might know him from his work as Arpanet (on both Rephlex and Record Makers). Or perhaps as 1/2 or 1/4 of the equally mysterious data physicians, Dopplereffekt, Der Zyklus, Elecktroids, or Japanese Telecom. If you've really done your homework, you may be familiar with his even more obscure output as Flexitone, Dr. Finn & Dr. Otto Henke or Intellitronic. In any event, the man/machine behind all of this might be, at least according to Discogs.com, Gerald Donald aka Heinrich Mueller. He has been associated with the Patron Saint of Detroit Electro, Drexciya aka James Stinson, Shifted Phases, Transllusion, The Other People Place, Lab Rat XL, and LAM (Life After Mutation) as well as electro dystopians, Ultradyne. But no one knows who he REALLY is. There have been few public performances or press releases and possibly only one interview ever from the man; What little information that can been gleaned, from xeroxed record inserts to the grainy footage of Dopplereffekt's Scientist video, does not help solve this enduring enigma.
